1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of skarna's publication, subscription plans, and commissioned services (together, "Services"), operated by skarna, Jalan Raja Chulan 62, 50200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia.
By subscribing, placing an order, or accessing any part of the skarna publication at skarna.cyou, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered readers, and organisational subscribers regardless of how they access the publication.
2. Our Services
skarna provides the following services:
- Reader Subscription — An individual annual subscription providing access to published issues, topic-tagged articles, and the reading archive covering AI hardware research.
- Team Library Plan — An annual team plan providing shared reading access for a defined group of seats within an organisation, including a curated reading list.
- Commissioned Insight Report — A bespoke written report on an AI hardware topic of the client's choosing, prepared as an information resource. Includes a scoping call, a written report document, and a briefing session.
All skarna content is produced as general information and editorial research. Nothing published constitutes professional advice of any kind, including technical, financial, or strategic recommendations.
3. Subscriptions
Reader Subscriptions and Team Library Plans are issued on an annual basis. The subscription term begins on the date of confirmed payment and runs for twelve (12) consecutive months.
Subscriptions are non-transferable to third parties outside the agreed account. Team Library Plan seats may not be shared beyond the number of seats purchased.
Renewal is not automatic unless explicitly agreed in writing. skarna will send a renewal notice no less than 14 days before your subscription lapses. Continued access after expiry is not provided unless the subscription is renewed.
Access credentials are personal and must not be shared. Any suspected unauthorised use should be reported to [email protected] promptly.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are current at the time of publication on the skarna website. Prices are subject to change; any such change will be communicated before it affects an existing subscriber.
- Reader Subscription: RM 535 per year
- Team Library Plan: RM 1,850 per year
- Commissioned Insight Report: RM 4,600 per deliverable
Payment terms for Commissioned Insight Reports are agreed during the scoping call and confirmed in a written order summary. Work on a commissioned report begins only after written confirmation and payment as agreed.
skarna does not store payment card details. Payments are processed through the methods communicated at checkout or in the order summary.

5. Content & Intellectual Property
All content published by skarna — including articles, data notes, commissioned reports, figures, and editorial material — remains the intellectual property of skarna unless otherwise stated.
Subscribers are permitted to:
- Read and reference published material for their own professional use
- Quote brief excerpts for internal discussion purposes, provided attribution is given to skarna
Subscribers may not:
- Reproduce, redistribute, or republish skarna content in full or in substantial part without written permission
- Use skarna content in training datasets, automated systems, or commercial products without a separate written agreement
- Resell or sub-license access to any skarna content or subscription
Commissioned Insight Reports are prepared for the commissioning organisation. The organisation may use the report internally. Redistribution or public publication of report content requires prior written agreement with skarna.

6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use skarna's Services in a manner consistent with applicable Malaysian law and in a way that does not interfere with other users' access or with the integrity of the publication.
Specifically, you agree not to:
- Attempt to obtain unauthorised access to any part of the skarna platform or systems
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or harvest content from the publication
- Misrepresent your affiliation or purpose when commissioning a report or contacting skarna
- Use skarna Services in connection with any unlawful activity
skarna reserves the right to suspend or close an account found to be in breach of these acceptable use terms.
7. Content Disclaimer
skarna publishes researched editorial content for informational and reading purposes. Articles, reports, and data notes reflect the editorial team's research at the time of writing and are not updated on a continuous basis.
Nothing in the skarna publication should be relied upon as professional advice. Readers and organisations should exercise their own judgment when making decisions. skarna does not warrant the completeness or accuracy of any published material for any specific purpose.
External links included in articles are provided for reference. skarna does not endorse or take responsibility for the content of third-party websites.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted under Malaysian law, skarna's liability in connection with any service or subscription shall be limited to the amount paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the relevant claim.
skarna shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to access, the publication or any commissioned deliverable.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Termination & Cancellation
You may close your account or cancel a subscription at any time by contacting [email protected]. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current annual term. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of an annual subscription unless agreed in writing.
For Commissioned Insight Reports, cancellation terms are detailed in the written order summary agreed at scoping. In the absence of specific cancellation terms, work completed and delivered up to the point of cancellation remains billable.
skarna reserves the right to suspend or end a subscription with reasonable notice where a subscriber is found to be in breach of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Nothing in this clause prevents skarna from seeking relief in any jurisdiction where a breach of these Terms may have an effect.
11. Changes to These Terms
skarna may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable regulations, or operational practices. When material changes are made, we will notify active subscribers by email before the changes take effect.
The date of the most recent revision is indicated at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
